Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Shapadi, a platform operated by Shapadi Limited (“Shapadi”, “we”, “us”), based in Nigeria. By using our website or services, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Shapadi provides a platform that lets vendors create public storefronts and lets buyers discover and contact those vendors. Shapadi also offers tools such as receipts, invoices and sales records. Shapadi is a listing and discovery platform — we are not a party to any transaction between buyers and vendors.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account or store.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You must be legally able to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction.

3. Vendor responsibilities

• You are solely responsible for the products and services you list, including their accuracy, legality, pricing and fulfilment.
• You must not list prohibited, counterfeit, or illegal goods or services.
• You are responsible for honouring orders, deliveries and any customer obligations.

4. Buyer responsibilities

Transactions are made directly between buyers and vendors. You are responsible for verifying products, prices and terms with the vendor before purchasing. Shapadi is not responsible for the quality, safety or legality of items, or for completed transactions.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not use Shapadi for unlawful, fraudulent or harmful activity.
• Do not misuse, scrape, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform.
• Do not post content that is illegal, infringing, misleading or offensive.

6. Intellectual property

Shapadi and its logos are the property of Shapadi Limited. Content you upload remains yours, but you grant Shapadi a licence to host and display it for the purpose of operating the service.

7. Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shapadi is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for disputes, losses or transactions between buyers and vendors.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the service at any time for breach of these Terms or to comply with the law.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
